This is Lesson 4 on Day 4 in the Teaching Alive Theme 5 unit aimed at ages 9-11 (Year 5 & Year 6 in England and Wales). It is the first of two lessons where we write a thank you prayer. We start by comparing religions (Christianity, Islam and Hinduism) and their differences in prayer. We then look at reasons to pray before focusing on a prayer of thanks, grouping ideas into categories. In this lesson, we say thank you for parents/carers, food & drink and animals (the world, friends and health are covered in the next lesson).

Please note, this project contains example videos and animations for school use only.

Access animations and activities below (when available). Use the buttons to see our theme overview, navigate to a prior or future lesson on Day 4. Use the drop-down box to choose between lessons on Day 4.
