Possibilities

The red planet does have its similarities to Earth: similar length of day, gravitational pull, seasons, terrain and landforms. There is also evidence of ice water and methane in the atmosphere (and those mysterious patches), which suggests the potential for life on Mars, even now.

However, with the ever-thinning atmosphere made up of a high level of carbon dioxide, the extreme weather conditions, the dust storms that could cover the whole planet and the lack of liquid water, it seems that human habitation on Mars won’t be possible for a long time to come. As to the possibility of there being Martians, we will leave that up to you. Do you feel that there is sufficient evidence to suggest that one or more alien species live, or have lived, on Mars?
