Sol 371, 2036 – Now, I don’t think you’re going to believe this. I got back safe and sound with the battery and the 3D shapes. Before I went to bed, I lined up some of the shapes in front of me, and I was contemplating what to do with them when I heard a weird sound coming from outside. I’m not kidding, a weird sound OUTSIDE. I looked out the window, but couldn’t see anything. Then, suddenly, the objects started to vibrate. Yes, they started to vibrate. Then, they lifted into the air. Yes, they lifted into the air. This lasted moments before they returned to normal. The weird sound got louder outside, and it seemed to come from one of the sand dunes in the distance (a sand dune with one of the white patches on).
Then there was a loud wailing sound. It was like an alarm, and it didn’t sound good. What I describe next might sound like I’ve lost it (if you didn’t think that already), but I saw something. I saw something emerge from one of the sand dunes in the distance. It had lights on it, and all I can describe it as is a gigantic metal spider looking thing. I didn’t hang round much longer and legged it for the door, locking it behind me. I’m writing this hidden in the maintenance cupboard which I’ve locked and barred with a broom handle- top security.
As to what the sound was and what I saw, I don’t know. I could be going mad. Everything is quiet now, and I’m going to wait till it gets light before investigating. If this is my last message, tell my mum and dad I love them 😊. xx
