Sol 365, 2036 – The storm dragged on for over 24 hours. It was scary I tell you. There were quite a few times I though the whole pod was going to lift off into the atmosphere.
Things have settled down now, but reality has set in. I’m stuck on Mars with no way of communicating with the shuttle or with Earth that I’m still alive. I need to look at our rations. This mission was only for three months, and I need to see how much food I have and how long I can survive until rescue.
The first thing I need to do is think ‘calories’ and figure out how many I have and how many I need. I’ll look back at some historical spreadsheets to help me figure things out.
